laguna de san raphaël. This is a glacier coming down from the moutain into the ocean. From time to time, a piece of the size of a building is falling down, creating a mini-tsunami.

when the cruise stops at the village, children put on their nicest clothes, choose a couple of tourists and follow them all over the place. They're not stalking or even asking anything, but they do expect a little present (tourists are requested not to give money).

I start posting pictures of a 1991 trip to Chile (one can read President Pinochet road on the sign!). There's over one hundred pics in this set, so I might insert random images between the different parts of the trip.
